Clark D. Powell 72 - Elizabeth

Clark D. Powell 72, of Elizabeth, West Virginia, passed away at his residence October 13, 2009 after and extended illness.

He was born in Wood County the son of the late Harvey And Edna Butcher Powell.

He was own 2nd generation owner of Powell's Auto Parts of Parkersburg WV from 1977 to 1998. He was known as the best carburetor man in the Parkersburg area. He was a Christian by faith.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Molly Burdette Powell; 5 children, Sherry (Tom) Burns, and Mark Powell of Elizabeth, Clay (Jane) Powell, Robert (Rita) Powell, and Candy (Jeff) Miller all of Parkersburg; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; his dog "Lucky"; 1 brother, Carl (Mary) Powell of Pettyville, WV; 1 sister Janet (Loyd) McDonald of Bellville, WV; and several nieces and nephews.

Service will be 1 p.m. Friday October 16 at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth, WV with Rev. Tim Hanson and Rev. Doug Anderson officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday October 15 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and from 9 a.m. Friday until time of the service.

Interment will be in Two Ripple Cemetery of Elizabeth.
