Betty Richards Collins, 80 - Belpre

Betty Richards Collins, 80, of Belpre, Ohio died at her residence on Oct. 5, 2009. She was born at Big Bend, W.Va., on May 31, 1929, the daughter of the late Leonard and Ruth Eagle Richards. She was a member of the Center Point Church in Little Hocking and has attended the Veto Gospel Tabernacle of Vincent, Ohio. She and her husband were the owners and operators of the Linger Longer Restaurant at Little Hocking for several years. Survivors include her two sons, Michael Collins of Belpre and Tim Collins of Vincent; her daughter, Shiela Graham of Vincent; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 61 years, Thomas J. Collins; a son, Gary L. Collins; and her brother, Gale Richards. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre, with the Rev. Jack Berry officiating. Burial will follow in the Goodnight Cemetery, Grantsville, W.Va. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
