WIRT SHERIFF ELECTED TO WV SHERIFF'S ASSN. BOARD

(10/06/2009)
Regional sheriffs have been elected to WV Sheriffs' Association offices at their annual training conference held at Snowshoe Resort last week in Pocahontas County.

Wirt County Sheriff D. Keith Wilson, Jr. was elected as a Board Member-At-Large and Clay County Sheriff Randy Holcomb was elected Treasurer.

About 180 participants representing sheriff's offices from all over the state attended the conference.

This year's training focused on incident management and the development of a new domestic violence response policy, among other topics.

The National Sheriffs' Association provided trainers for a large portion of the conference.
