The kids enjoy the snacks Music makers fill the grove with tunes Most Herald readers around the USA revel in the long-time tradition of Calhoun's family reunions and community festivals. More common is smaller get-togethers in most every community where folks spend an afternoon, like events at Rocksdale-Richardson's Whytsell Park. Marvin and Peggy Whytsell Stemple carry-on the tradition with a couple of annual weiner roasts started by Peggy's parents, the late Randall and Blanche Whytsell. Sunday, folks gathered in the picnic grove, where the larger Whytsell Reunion is held, to enjoy the day. Charlie McKown opens session with Randall's "West Fork Valley Home" (left); Esther Laughlin, longtime Arnoldsburg school cook and maker of famous baked goods, just can't keep from cookin'
