ROANE WATER PROJECT GETS ADDITIONAL FUNDING - 107 Customers On Arnoldsburg Rd.

State Director Robert D. "Bobby" Lewis has announced that Rural Development has approved a Water and Waste Disposal Grant in the amount of $221,000 for the City of Spencer. Rural Development funds will be used to construct approximately 8,500 feet of waterline, three pressure-reducing stations and necessary appurtenances to serve 107 new customers in the Boggs Fork, Slate Road, and U.S. Route 33 East of Spencer. Arnoldsburg Rd., toward the Calhoun County line. This grant is additional funding to cover a construction cost overrun. A loan of $415,000 and grant of $635,000 were obligated in Fiscal Year 2003.
