Born at Freed, Calhoun County, she was a daughter of the late Okey and Anna Frances Cunningham Shimer. She was a member of the Broomstick Methodist Church.

Surviving are one daughter, Ilene Wager of Big Springs; six sisters, Ollie Ford, Goldie Richards, Pearl Reed and Blanche Kendall all of Grantsville, WV Arthelia Richards of Elizabeth, WV and Pauline Cline of Cleveland, Ohio; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard B. Wilson and a son Burley Wilson; a daughter, Mavadean J. Yoak; a sister, Virginia Williams and a brother, Teddy Shimer.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February, 21 at 1 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Reverend Lawson Whipkey will officiate. Interment will be in the Gainer Cemetery at Big Springs. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
