MIGRANT WORKER CHARGED IN STABBING - A migrant worker who was accused of stabbing two men in Ravenswood last week, has been arrested.

Police allege 30-year-old Jose Antonio Ortiz stabbed two men after a fight at the Sandy Creek Trailer Park.

Following the incident, Ortiz fled the scene.

Lt. AJ Boggs with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office says Ortiz was captured at the LaCava home in Ravenswood, following a tip. The LaCava family houses migrant workers.

Ortiz is behind bars at the South Central Regional Jail in lieu of a $70,000 bond, charged with two felony counts of malicious wounding.

SUMMERSVILLE MAN CHARGED - A Summersville man was arrested and charged with attempted murder after his uncle was shot in the hand last Wednesday.

Dustin Ryan McClung, 23, is suspected of shooting his uncle, John David McClung, 44, also of Summersville, during an argument, police say.

Dustin McClung fled the scene after the incident, but was located nearby a few hours later by sheriff's deputies. He was being held at Central Regional Jail in Flatwoods.

John McClung was treated for his gunshot wound and released from Summersville Memorial Hospital.
