| Grace M. Gandee, 93, of Elyria, Ohio, formerly of Spencer, West Virginia, died Monday, September 21, 2009, in Keystone Point, LaGrange, Ohio, after an extended illness.
She was born Sunday, August 20, 1916, at Linden, a daughter of the late Okey M. and Mary Louisa Moore Young. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Olen Gandee; brothers, Milton, Oval, Clay and Robert Young; sisters, Zanna Young, Vae Sheppard, Tressie Simmons and Delva Young.
Mrs. Gandee was a homemaker and a member of the Liberty United Methodist Church, Spencer.
Survivors include one son, Olen E. Gandee of Elyria, OH; one daughter, Wilma L. Gandee of Spencer; one brother, Okey Jean Young of Leroy; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
A funeral service will be held Friday, September 25 at 11:00 a.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Daniel R. "Danny" Whited officiating. Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery, Clover.
Friends may call Thursday, September 24 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
