SAND FORK GETS A HELPING HAND

State Director Robert D. "Bobby" Lewis announces that Rural Development approved a Community Facilities Grant in the amount of $50,000 for the Town of Sand Fork in Gilmer County. "Rural Development funds will be used to provide exterior improvements to the Sand Fork Town Hall and Community Center," stated Lewis. Through the Community Facilities Programs, assistance is provided to facilities such as libraries, schools and First Responders (e.g., ambulance services, hospitals), using a variety of programs that assist in funding construction, operating costs, repairs and equipment.
