Noah Lee "Sonny" Knicley, 67 - Spencer

Noah Lee "Sonny" Knicley, 67, of Reynolds Street, Spencer, West Virginia, passed away September 13, 2009 at his home following an extended illness.

Born August 24, 1942 in Braxton County, he was a son of the late Anthony Earl Knicley and Ona Mae McCumbers Knicley.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia Jean Knicley; 4 sons, Russell Sams of Parkersburg, Russell Knicley of Orma, William Knicley of Nicut and Donald L. Knicley of Sand Ridge; one daughter, Belva Janita Nichols of Orma; 2 brothers, Larry Dale Knicley of Pennsylvania and William Boyd Knicley of Mt. Run; 4 sisters, Darlene Starcher of Pennsylvania, Wavalene McCoy of Nicut, Elva Jean Hickman of Orma and Belva Nichols of Ohio; 31 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Earl Junior Knicley of Spencer; one brother, James Knicley; and 5 sisters, Donnie Knicley, Virgie Fisher, Bonnie Knicley, Loretta Knicley, and Deloris Summers.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 16 at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Rev. Jack Roberts will officiate. Interment will be in the Knicley Cemetery at Elmira.

Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services, Wednesday.
