CALHOUN'S MORGAN GRAHAME PERFORMS IN "33 VARIATIONS"

Calhoun County native Morgan Grahame is currently appearing in the play "33 Variations" at the Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati.

The play with Jane Fonda in the lead role, debuted on Broadway earlier this year to rave reviews. The Ensemble Theatre is presenting only the second staging of the Tony award nominated work.

Dayton CityBeat, a weekly entertainment magazine in Cincinnati calls the Ensemble production "a triumph, with a strong ensemble cast".

Cincinnati Inquirer critic Jackie Demaline calls Grahame an appealing actress in her review of the play.

Following "33 Variations", Grahame will be going directly into rehearsals for "Dead Man's Cell Phone" also at the Ensemble Theatre.

Dead Man's Cell Phone" is a black absurdist comedy-drama by acclaimed contemporary playwright Sarah Ruhl. The play will run through October 25.

Grahame, a resident of New York City, is a 2001 graduate of Calhoun High School, with a degree in theatre from Davis and Elkins College in Elkins, She is a longtime student of Heartwood in the Hills and considers Jude Binder to be her mentor.

Morgan is the daughter of Neil and Susan Grahame of Orma.
