Margie Marie Sampson Benedum - Reedsville, Ohio

Margie Marie Sampson Benedum was born July 19, 1931 in Leatherbark, West Virginia to the late H. D. and Estel Lena Sampson. On May 21, 2009, she went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She lived most of her life in Meigs County, and was a custodian in the Eastern Local School System for twenty seven years. She attended both St. Paul United Methodist Church and Eden United Brethren Church. Marge was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Francis Benedum; her children, Dennis (Betty) Benedum of Mobile, AL, Mike (Cindy) Benedum of Coolville, OH, Diana (Mike) Walker of Canal Winchester, OH and Teresa (Mike Whitlock) Benedum of Reedsville, OH; two sisters, Gladys Barton of Coolville, OH and Carolyn Sue (Benny) Smith of Mansfield, OH; one brother, Rick (Brenda) Sampson of Coolville, OH; fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, Marge was preceded in death by two sisters, Kate Weekley and Mickey Spradlin; two brothers David Sampson and Daris Sampson. Services were held May 26, 2009 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH with Rev. Robert Sanders officiating. Burial was in in the Meigs County Memory Gardens, Pomeroy, OH.
