CABELL NURSE FIRST WV SWINE FLU DEATH - Former Gospel Harmony Boy's Pianist

West Virginia has recorded its' first swine flu death, a Cabell County nurse identified as Michael Bloomfield, age 51.

Kanawha-Charleston Health Department says the man had been in the hospital five or six days before he died.

Bloomfield (left) reportedly had a number of other health issues that contributed to his death.

Bloomfield was a former member of the Gospel Harmony Boys, a well-known WV gospel group, joining them just out of high school as a keyboard player. He left the group in 1998.

He continued to be active in the gospel music industry, both as an arranger and producer.
