Ernestine Starcher, 77 - Arnoldsburg

Ernestine Starcher, 77, of Arnoldsburg, West Virginia, died August 15, 2009 at Charleston Area Medical Center's Memorial Division, Charleston, after a short illness.

She was born June 15, 1932 in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Fred and Tressie Crawford Church. She was a homemaker and member of the Leatherbark Community Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline "Jackie" Garrett of Spencer, WV and Donna Reip of Reedy, WV; a son, Gerald Starcher of Spencer; two sisters, Karen Bragg of Ripley, WV and Christine Starcher of Arnoldsburg; two brothers, Fred Church, Jr. of Beech, WV and Victor Church of Newton Falls, Ohio; three grandsons, Jason Starcher, Joshua Garrett, and Adam Reip; a granddaughter, Nikki Caldwell; three great grandchildren, Sadie, Sam, and Chesnie.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Starcher; and one infant brother, Bernard Eugene Church.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 18 at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer with Rev. David Weaver and Rev. Loren Price officiating. Burial will be in the Starcher Cemetery, Calhoun County.

Visiting hours are Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
