Ola Jewell Parsons - Elizabeth

Ola Jewell Parsons of Elizabeth, West Virginia, passed away peacefully, Thursday, August 13, 2009 surrounded by family and friends.

She was born November 24, 1922 to the late Harley Greathouse and Prudence Douglas Ortachied. She married Manford Parsons September 13, 1939. They were married 62 years before his death in December 2001.

She will be sadly missed and happily remembered by their children, Opal (Robert) Adams, Barbara (Roger) King, Holly (Sara) Parsons, Sherman (Brenda) Parsons and Steven (Kim) Parsons; 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; half brothers and a sister, Harold, Harlan, Bill, Marvin and Mary all of Akron, Ohio; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Lura and half brothers, Newton and Robert.

She loved working word search puzzles and going to the beach with her family. She always spoke kindly of her trips and the Senior Citizens.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, August 16 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Rev. Dwight Goff will officiate. Interment will be in the K of P Cemetery at Elizabeth.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
