THIEVES STEAL FROM BRAXTON SHERIFF'S CRUISER - Damage At Burnsville Dam

Authorities are searching for suspects who stole police equipment from a Braxton Co. sheriff's cruiser and trashed a restroom at Burnsville Dam. The suspects broke into an area below the dam on Tuesday and broke out two windows in a Braxton County cruiser. The suspects stole an AR-15 rifle with scope, ammunition, gun accessories, three hand-held police radios, a Taser gun and a camera, according to the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers. Later, vandals trashed the restroom in the Left Fork Picnic Area above Burnsville Dam, causing about $500 in damage, breaking mirrors, dispensers and other equipment. Police want anyone with information about the robbery to call 866-413-7970.
