UPDATE: BRAXTON TEENS BODY RECOVERED AFTER BOATING ACCIDENT

(07/27/2009)
The search has ended for a Braxton County teen who is missing, following a boating accident at Gauley Bridge.

The Fayette County Sheriff's Department says Cyrus James Rose, 17, of Strange Creek had been fishing with three others when their boat overturned.

Fayette 911 officials received a call at 3:21 yesterday that a boat overturned in the Kanawha River near the Kanawha Falls Public Fishing Area.

Emergency crews found that one man swam to shore and was in good condition.

Two others were found safe after they swam to an island in the river.

The surviving occupants of the boat are, Samuel D. Rose, 40, of Strange Creek, Joshua Rowe, 25, of Cleveland, Ohio, and Jonathan Rose, 17, of Strange Creek.

None wore a life jacket, according to the sheriff's department.
