| Elkin Davis, 89, of Big Bend, West Virginia, died July 17, 2009 at Minnnie Hamilton Health System.
He was the son of the late John Davis, Sr. and Sarah Husk Davis.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Freda Goodnight and Delores Davis Frederick; 1 son, Ronnie Davis; a daughter-in-law, Pam Davis; 15 grandchildren, Jason Goodnight, Jeff and wife Becky, Makayla and Scottie Davis, Joyce Frederick Smith, Michael Frederick Bandy, Shannon and Kaitlyn Davis, T. J. Sirbaugh, Ricky Davis, Meloney and Derek Villers, Shawn and Josie Whipkey; 7 sisters-in-law Lorain Pursley, Isabella Davis, Bonnie Davis, Francis Davis, Margaret Wagoner, Hazel Gribble, and Dorthy Richards; one brother-in-law Robert Wagoner; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Rosie Richards Davis; one daughter Wanda Davis; and 6 brothers.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 21 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Interment will be in the Norman Ridge Cemetery.
