Debra Jean Walker, 38 of Statesville, North Carolina, formerly of Calhoun County, died February 2nd at her home in Statesville, after a courageous six year battle with cancer. Born in Roane County, she was a daughter of Richard and Annalea Siers Walker of Statesville. She was a member of the Abaline Church of Christ in Statesville, was a former employee of Kellwood Company of Spencer, WV and One Valley Bank, she was an avid bowler. Surviving are her parents and three brothers, Richard Walker, Jr. of Cottageville, WV, Curtis Walker of Huntsville, Alabama and Phillip Walker of Statesville; one sister, Amy Jo Walker of Statesville; five nieces and seven nephews and a favorite aunt, Carol Siers. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Wallace Beasley will officiate. Interment will be in the Minnora Cemetery at Minnora. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
