TWO DEAD IN FOUR-CAR PILE-UP ON I-79

Two people were killed in A four-car accident on Interstate 79 just north of Burnsville yesterday evening. Police say a female driver ran into the median around 5:30 p.m. and flipped her car, hitting three other vehicles traveling in the northbound lanes. The woman was dead on scene. A car closest to the median in the northbound lane was struck first and the driver was killed by the impact. Another driver was injured and taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital and another sustained minor injuries. Police say they do not suspect alcohol was involved, but believe the southbound driver could have fallen asleep.
