Gwendolyn Postalwait, 82 - Mineral Wells

Gwendolyn Postalwait, 82, of Mineral Wells, West Virginia, formerly of Rosedale, passed away July 13, 2009 at her home.

Born November 4, 1926 in Gilmer County, she was a daughter of the late Worthy and Oleva Miller Moore.

Mrs. Postalwait was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church at Mineral Wells where she served as president of the American Baptist Women.

She was a devoted mother of 4 children who survive, Anna (Brock) Stewart of Rosedale, Gayla (Robert) Fitzwater of Mineral Wells, James (Faith) Postalwait of Eldridge, NY, and James (Ronda) Williams of Flatwoods, WV; 9 grandchildren, Todd (Regina) Stewart, Amy (Bruce) Fitzwater, Jason (Julie) Stewart, John Fitzwater, Carrie Fitzwater, Tom (Sara) Postalwait, Brittany, Ryan and Emily Williams; great grandchildren, Stewart, Jared and Olivia Fitzwater, Paige Postalwait, and Jacob Stewart.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Burl "Monk" Postalwait, and one daughter.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 17 at the Rosedale Baptist Church. Elders Larry Fisher, Roger Stewart and Kent Cutright will officiate. Interment will be in the Rosedale Baptist Church Cemetery.

Friends may call at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
