CINCINNATI MAN NEEDS HELP WITH PHOTO ID

(07/02/2009)

Joe Moore of Cincinnati, Ohio is asking the Calhoun community for help in identifying the man in this photo.

In the photo is Moore's wife, Rose Ella Kimble, who passed away in 2005 after 54 years of marriage.

She was between 14-16 years old in the photo.

Rose was born at Henrietta near Grantsville in 1931, the daughter of William O. and Hettie Carpenter Kimble of Hog Knob.

Mr. Kimble was a rural school teacher, the last school he taught was at Creston during World War II.

During that period he lived in the Engelke house.

The Kimble family moved to Parkersburg about 1943-44 to find work at O. Ames.

"While many in our family have seen the photo, we have always wanted to know who the man is," wrote Moore.

"My wife spent many happy hours reliving her childhood reading the Hur Herald before she died."

"Hopefully someone can help us identify the man."
