Odell Wood, 69 - Stumptown

Odell Wood, 69, of Stumptown, West Virginia, passed away June 25, 2009 at Sunbridge of Glenville following a long illness. Born in Calhoun County, he was a son of the late Avery and Viola Umstead Wood. He was an oil field worker. Surviving are sons, Mike Riggs of Big Springs, Gary Wood of Parkersburg, Roy Wood of Sanford, NC, and Douglas Wood of Normantown; daughters, Emma Richards of Five Forks, Brenda Brannon of Reedy and Margaret Cottrill of Shock; 24 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Wood; a son Roger; and a grandson Jeff. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, June 29 at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Rev. Gene Satterfield will officiate. Interment will be in the Turner Cemetery at Lockney. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
