CUB SCOUT PACK PINEWOOD DERBY - Little Kanawha District Race

Article and photos submitted by Joyce Williams Calhoun County Cub Scout Pack #436 participated in the Little Kanawha District, Pinewood Derby at Grand Central Mall Saturday. There were over five hundred cub scouts racing, representing over thirty packs in the Allohak Council. Pinewood Derby Racers from Pack #436 were: front row - Kyler Propst, Peter Vassilopoulos, Chris Cunningham and Jonah Law back row - Brandon Reed, Drew Williams, Ben Sims and Eli Dye, Justin Gerwig (not shown) Kyler Propst lines his car up for his first challenge of the afternoon Winners of the first race were Ben Sims and Drew Williams. Ben and Drew went on to race in the semi-finals at 5:00 . Ben placed fourth out of sixteen racers and Drew placed sixth out of sixteen racers Chris Cunningham lining up his car while Justin Gerwig waits his turn. Justin placed third in the 3:00 race
