EARL V. MILLER - Shock

Earl V. Miller, 94, of Shock, died Thursday, January 31, 2002, at Miletree Health Care Center in Spencer.

He was born on July 27, 1907, to the late Lewis Leroy and Effie Rider Millee. He was a member of Shock Church of Christ and Eureka Lodge No. 40, AF & AM. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He is survived by six sons, Ancel E. Miller of Garrettsville, Ohio, Hugh J. Miller, Davy L. Miller and John C. Miller, all of Shock, Rex V. Miller of Orrville, Ohio, Stephen J. Miller all of Stumptown, WV; one daughter, Rachel M. Wolfe of Palestine, WV; two half-brothers, Vernon D. Miller of Billings, Montana, and David M. Miller of Normantown, WV; one sister, Gertrude Wilson of Malta, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pina L. Bishop Miller; three brothers, Ray, Robert, and Harley Miller; one half-brother, Bernard; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at Shock Church of Christ on Sunday, February 3, 2002. Evangelist Vernon Kerns will officiate. Interment will be in the Earl V. Miller Cemetery at Shock.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, WV.
