Richard Charles Erlewine, 62 - Grantsville

Richard Charles Erlewine, 62, of Grantsville, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 13, 2009.

Richard was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and son. He was happiest when surrounded by his family and many friends. After many years of living in South Carolina and Georgia, he was excited to return home to Grantsville and all the family and friends he grew up with. He enjoyed working outdoors, visiting friends and family and relaxing on the porch surrounded by nature. He was a member of the Enon Baptist Church.

Richard is survived by his wife of 44 years, Linda Erlewine; four children, Scott (Susan) Erlewine of Ridgeway, South Carolina, Todd (Laura) Erlewine of Lakemont, Georgia, Melanie (Brian) Henderson of Fairmont, WV, and Leslie Erlewine of Grantsville; ten grandchildren, Rachel, Courtney and Jack Erlewine of Ridgeway, SC; Jacob, Taylor and Chloe Erlewine, and Nick and Lucas Kerby of Lakemont, GA, J.D. and Sawyer Henderson of Fairmont; his mother Emma Lavaughn Erlewine of Mt. Zion, WV; five brothers, Ronnie, Jimmy, Robert (Tink) and Donald Erlewine all of Grantsville, and Michael Erlewine of Parkersburg, WV.

He was preceded in death by his father, Blaine Erlewine; and brothers Butch and Roger Erlewine.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 16 at Enon Baptist Church at Grantsville. Reverends Alfred Hickman and John Vannoy will officiate.
