Emergency personnel extract injured man

A Grantsville man was injured late Friday night when his truck went out of control at Cabot Station. The man was identified as Lewis "Scott" Whited. Whited was taken to Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center after he was extracted from his Ford truck by the Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department and Calhoun EMS.

Truck bends large post, crashing through fence

The vehicle left the highway just east of a sharp turn at Cabot Station on Route 5, crashing through a fence and bending a steel post.

The Calhoun County Sheriff's Department is investigating.
