SAND RIDGE WOMAN CATCHES FASCINATING VARMINT

(06/08/2009)

A Sand Ridge woman caught a fascinating cat in her live trap last week, certainly not the domesticated variety.

Barbara Johnson says the long-tailed cat has some interesting markings, and is less than friendly, hissing and showing its' fangs.

Johnson lives on the edge of the Bear Fork wilderness at Sand Ridge, which spawns lots of wildlife.

The local DNR officer Eric Bostic has taken the animal for evaluation.

If you have a notion about the animal, send us an e-mail: bob@hurherald.com
