SCOUTS HOLD PINEWOOD DERBY - Annual Double Elimination Event

Cub Scout Pack #436 held their annual Pinewood Derby, Thursday, January 31st in the Basement of the First Baptist Church of Grantsville.

Eighteen of twenty-five scouts along with a parent, grandparent or adult friend, designed their own pinewood derby car and raced in a double elimination race, with the final three cub scouts winning first, second and third place.

All scouts were given a participation ribbon, and will move onto the BIG race at the Grand Central Mall in Parkersburg, this Saturday, February 2nd.

Pack #436 will race on Track D at 3:00 p.m. and the top two finalist of that race will meet with scouts from the other five counties in the Little Kanawha District to determine the Grand Champions of the Little Kanawha District.
