HOMICIDE: BODIES FOUND IN BRAXTON-BARBOUR COUNTIES

A homicide investigation that began with a tip to Clarksburg Police has spread into Braxton and Barbour counties. At least two bodies have been found linked to the tip. Authorities discovered a body near Copen in Braxton County. The first body was located just off of WV 57 in Barbour County. Authorities have been guarding those locations and will be processing evidence throughout the day. Police, using cadaver dogs, say they found remains that had been dumped in a wooded area in Barbour County, less than ten feet off of Route 57. The FBI Evidence Response Team and the state medical examiner's office has been called in to investigate.
