Lula "Jean" Lavoo Ward, 82 - Grantsville

Lula "Jean" Lavoo Ward, 82, of Grantsville, West Virginia, passed away Friday, May 29, 2009 at Community Health Partners in Lorain, Ohio. She was born December 25, 1926 at Gem, WV, the daughter of the late Raymond and Edith Wine Singleton. She was a member of Chapel Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Glenda J. Berkheimer and her husband Joseph of Lorain; a step son, Ronald Ward and his wife Teresa of Grantsville; surviving siblings are, Mildred Singleton Ward of Grantsville, Van Singleton and his wife Francis of Diamond Ohio, Carldetta Singleton Weber and her husband Edward of Cuyahoga Falls Ohio, Amos Singleton and his wife Wanda of Burnsville, and Richard "Cub" Singleton of Robertsburg; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Arley E. Ward in October, 2005. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 2nd at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Interment will be in the Ward-Wilson Cemetery, Grantsville. Friends may call at the funeral home 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 11 a.m. until time of services Tuesday.
