Larry Charles Gumm, 66, of Harrisville (Oil Ridge Road), W.Va., departed this life on Saturday, May 30, 2009, at his residence.

Larry was born July 5, 1942, at Smithville, W.Va., a son to the late Orda C. and Wanda G. Frederick Gumm. He worked as a truck driver for various companies throughout his life including Everett Mason of Burnt House.

He was a graduate of Harrisville High School with the class of 1960 and attended Spruce Grove United Methodist Church on Indian Creek.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Gregg Gumm; daughters, Tamara K. Cunningham (Dave) of Smithville, W.Va., and Amy Michelle Cravens (Sam) of Ripley, W.Va.; son, Larry Thomas Gumm of Harrisville; stepchildren, Kyle Adams (Kristie) of Ellenboro (Pike Community), W.Va., Jacqueline Yoak (Doug) of Big Bend, W.Va., Todd Adams (Chris) of Pullman, W.Va., Rhonda White (Eric) of Harrisville; brothers, Orda Ray Gumm of Grantsville, W.Va., James R. Gumm of Macfarlan, W.Va., and Reginald G. Gumm of Mineral Wells; sister, Lois E. McFarland of Macfarlan; four grandchildren; and seven stepgrandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ann Phillips Gumm. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Hardman Chapel Church, Smithville, with the Rev. Don Newlon officiating. Interment will follow in the Hardman Chapel Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday and from 9-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, and from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
