CLOVER PSD GETS $1.9 MIL STIMULUS GRANT FOR WATER IMPROVEMENTS

A Roane County water system is getting some help to make improvements, courtesy of federal economic stimulus money.

The Clover Public Service District will receive $1.9 million to provide safe drinking water to 75 households that currently rely on wells or cisterns.

U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced Thursday the funding of nearly $143 million for drinking water, wastewater and environmental projects in 21 states.
