FIFTEEN-YEAR-OLD WOOD YOUTH PROBABLE SWINE FLU CASE - State Will Confirm Three Additional Cases Principal Jason Dodge of the Parkersburg Christian Academy says that a 15-year-old male student of the school is being treated for the swine flu.

Sherif Ibrahim, MD, Regional Epidemiologist of the Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department says officials at the Mid-Ohio Valley are still waiting for a test confirmation of the H1N1 (swine flu) case in Wood County.

The student went on a recent school trip to Tennessee.

The principal said all students and staff on the trip have been tested or will be tested for the virus, indicating so far all the tests have been negative.

Reports from the state are now saying three other probable cases have surfaced in the Mountain State, all waiting confirmation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The CDC, as of this week, is saying there were 7,927 confirmed and probable cases of the virus in the United States and 11 deaths.

West Virginia has been one of three states without a confirmed case.
