Nolan Wayne, 66 of Milo Community, Chloe, died Monday, January 29 at his home.
Born in Calhoun County, WV, he was a son of the late Earl and Orvie Falls Wayne. He was a
former mechanic and attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and the Church of the Living
God of Spencer. He was an accomplished string instrument musician and had made different
string instruments. He was known for his deep appreciation for Gospel music.
Surviving Mr. Wayne are two daughters, Penny Casstevens of North Carolina and Orvie
Nicholas of Spencer; two sons, Earl Wayne and Dennis Wayne both of North Carolina; four
brothers, Lloyd Wayne of Orma, WV, Frank R. Wayne of Shinnston, WV, Larry K. Wayne of
Wooster, Ohio and Jerry D. Wayne of Parkersburg, WV; two sisters, Mazel Burrough of
Spencer, and anna Boggess of Liverpool, WV and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Macel Cabell and three children, Kathy,
Jackie and Allen Wayne.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 1 at 2 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg,
WV. Reverend Roger Boggess will officiate. Interment will be in the Bailey Cemetery, Minnora.
Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
