The Calhoun County United Methodist Cooperative Parish awarded High School Seniors Ashley Conley, the daughter of Junior and Carolyn Conley a $500 scholarship and Drew Metheney, the son of Rev. Rick and Susie Metheney a $250 scholarship.
This is the ninth year that the Calhoun United Methodist Cooperative Parish has awarded such scholarships based on church and community involvement and expression of the applicant's faith.
Pastor Mary Zimmer, Coordinator for the Parish stated that these scholarships were made possible through gifts from individuals and United Methodist Churches within Calhoun County.
"These scholarships recognize and support our youth and their openness in being servants of Christ, which continues to be an important and exciting ministry for the Parish," says Pastor Zimmer.
