Linda Edwards explains how to make a file folder game Submitted by Tami Allen Arnoldsburg Elementary, Title 1 hosted their final parent workshop of the school year - Make Reading Fun in the Sun, Friday, May 15. Title 1 teachers Linda Edwards and Tami Allen showed parents how to make activities that can be used to help their children stay interested in reading this summer. Parents used items such as file folders, egg cartons, and beach balls to make games, which were all centered around reading skills. Twelve parents were involved in the workshop. If you have any questions or would like to know more about helping your child with reading skills, please contact Title 1 at 304-655-8616. Parents were given the opportunity to make activities for their children. Thursday, May 28th - Students will be attending the Heartwood Spring Performance at CMHS. Friday, May 29th - 3rd and 4th grade WESTEST reward trip. Monday, June 1st - PTO Slide Day. Tuesday, June 2nd - Awards Ceremony. Wednesday, June 3rd - Track and Field Day. Thursday, June 4th - School field trip to French Creek Game Farm. Friday, June 5th - Last day of school for students.
