Ethel M. Perry Stevens, 95 - Grantsville

Ethel M. Perry Stevens, 95, of Grantsville, West Virginia, died Saturday, May 16 at Minnie Hamilton Health System. She was born in Ravenswood, West Virginia August 17, 1913, a daughter of the late Henry Samuel Perry and Martha Tennent. She was a graduate of the Class of 1931 of Ravenswood High School. She was married to Paul Harry Stevens for 65 years. Together they ran the Thompson Drug Company which later became the J&B Drug Store. Ethel also worked at Daltons Store Company for 21 years and never missed a days work. Harry worked for the State of West Virginia as an oil and gas inspector. Ethel was a member of Knotts Memorial United Methodist Church in Grantsville. Surviving are a daughter, Sandra Jo (Sandi) Marshall and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; 2 brothers, Earl and Darrell; and one sister, Ruby Lukasavage. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 20 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
