Pipe manufacturer, JM Eagle Company in Buckhannon employs thirty people.

Twenty to twenty-four of those employees will be laid off in sixty days, according to the company, and the remaining employees will manage shipping operations until further notice.

The company said, "Closing the Buckhannon facility was a difficult but necessary decision, and we are sorry to have to leave the community. We appreciate the efforts of our employees at that plant, and thank them for their good work and dedication."

The closure is being driven by current market conditions.

JM Eagle will offer severance benefits to employees affected by the closing.
