Grantsville Guppies 4-H Club - By A. Frymier

The Grantsville Guppies 4-H Club held meetings in March and April. Both meetings were called to order by the Vice- President, Amber Frymier. All members present recited the Pledge of Allegiance and 4-H Pledge.

Members are learning the 4-H song, "West Virginia Boys and Girls", and have been singing it as their opening song.

The club sold tickets for a $100 drawing, the winner was Christina Gram.

The club will be holding a car wash on Saturday, May 9th, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Grantsville Foodland. Funds from both these events will be used to provide camp scholarships to club members.

All 4-H members are selling frozen food to help provide scholarships to county 4-H camp.

The club will be participating in Adopt a Highway service project for their community project.

The club went roller skating with the Pleasant Hill Corn Poppers 4-H Club. Members of the Grantsville Guppies club are, Ryan Swearengin, Valarie Barr, Andrea and Amber Frymier, Tea Boatright, Jeffrey Miller, Rebbicca Newlon, Ann and April Frymier.

Pleasant Hill Corn Poppers 4-H Club - By Cole Ritchie

The Pleasant Hill Corn Poppers 4-H club held their monthly meeting April 28, 2009. The meeting was called to order by President, Ben Frederick.

Those present recited the Pledge of Allegiance and 4-H Pledge. The club approved minutes of the previous meeting.

Doing club business they discussed their hot dog and bake sale scheduled for Saturday, May 9th, at the Grantsville Foodland. The funds will be used for 4-H camp.

Club members went roller skating with the Grantsville Guppies 4-H club. Members have been working on their project books and giving project talks.

Members attending the meeting were, Ben Frederick, Zaylah Taylor, Matthew Rush, Brad and Chris Lacy, Ethyn Miller, Chandler Newell, Cole and Conner Ritchie, and Casey Ritchie.

Next meeting will be scheduled for May > 12th.
