WATER ENTERS ARNOLDSBURG SCHOOL - Flood And Travel Update

(05/04/2009)
9 PM - Flood water did enter Arnoldsburg Elementary School this afternoon, possibly six inches on the main floor.

School personnel placed equipment and supplies out of reach of the water, and sandbagged the entrances this morning.

The sandbagging reportedly helped reduce the flooding.

US 33-119 and State Route 16 is now open in southern Calhoun, although Henry's Fork is still flooding.

Water from the LK River is still over Russett Road.

Water at Cain's Riffle is over Rt. 5 west of Grantsville, closing the highway.

The Beech-Henry's Fork area experienced the most serious flooding in the county.
