| Donald Larry Pettry 61, of Hudson, Florida passed away at his residence April 22, 2009 after and extended illness. He was born November 2, 1947 the son of Mary and the late Leo Pettry of Elizabeth, WV. He was employed for Cooper Coating Metal Fabrication of Clearwater, Florida. He was a Christian by faith. He loved spending time with his family, fishing, playing his harmonica, and playing horse shoes. He is survived by his loving wife, Anita Pettry of 35 years; 2 sons, Donald Pettry of Denton, TX and Tony (Ruby) Pettry of Hudson; 4 daughters, Patricia Pettry, Dawn (Harry) Groves, Jennifer (Rich) Williot all of Cleveland, OH; Mary Sherie Pettry of Louisville, TN; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Kenneth (Donna) Pettry of Tennessee and Ronald Pettry of Palestine, WV; 3 sisters, Wanda (Blair) Salsbury of Mineral Wells, WV, Rita (Dale) Hurst of Burning Springs, WV, and Shian (Donald) Gordon of Saegertown, PA; Several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Deanna Pettry, and Linda Trader; 1 brother, Lloyd "Pete" Pettry; 1 grandchild, Valerie Rodriguez, and 1 nephew Leo "Bo" Pettry. Visitation will be Monday April 27 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth, WV. Services will be at 8 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor David Tenbarge officiating. Burial will be at a later date at the Thorn Addition Cemetery in Palestine, WV.
