BEAR FORK MUSHROOM PICKERS HARVEST BOUNTY

A morel mushroom hunt in the Bear Fork area of Calhoun County yielded 700 mushrooms. The morels (pictured above) were picked by Gerald and Keri Cottrell, Jason and Erica Falls, Joel and Brittany Parsons, Scott and Deana Smith and all there kids. Morchella, the true morels are hunted by thousands of people every year simply for their taste and the joy of the hunt. Known as "Molly Moochers" in most parts of West Virginia and "Hickory Chickens," in many parts of Kentucky.
