BRAXTON COUPLE TEXT MESSAGE PROSECUTOR FOR DRUG SALE

A Braxton County couple made a serious mistake. A Sutton woman thought she was offering a friend some drugs, but she mistakenly sent the text message to the Webster County prosecutor. State Police arrested 23-year-old Anna Louise Green and 24-year-old Michael Scott Cowger of Braxton County on Wednesday after Webster County Prosecutor Dwayne Vandevender arranged a meeting to buy six hydrocodone pills for $8 apiece. Vandevender recognized the text message reading "Are you looking" as a phrase drug dealers use. Vandevender said Green had mis-dialed the last digit when entering the friend's phone number into her address book, and got him instead. The Braxton residents are in Central Regional Jail, charged with intent to distribute and conspiracy.
