GUNSHOT VICTIMS DESCRIBED IN THEIR 50'S

Murder happened about two miles off State Rt. 16 at Millstone on Left Fork Rd. (Sycamore Creek) not far from US 33-119 near Arnoldsburg

A Calhoun couple have reportedly been killed by gunshots, their bodies found in their rural house on Sycamore Creek, about two miles from State Rt. 16 at Millstone.

Authorities are investigating what has been described as a murder scene, following a 911 call shortly before noon.

The victims, a man, about 53, and his wife, about 52, moved to the area from Ohio about 2001, after which they built a house.

The names are being withheld to allow time for notification of next-of-kin.

The couple has three grown children, a daughter in her 20s discovered their bodies.

Michael Baylous, a State Police spokesperson, said a woman called 911 to report her parent's house had been broken in to and both of her parents were dead.

Locals described the family as "good neighbors."

The three children at one time attended Calhoun High School.
