GRANTSVILLE MAN CLAIMS HE WAS STRUCK BY MAYOR KNIGHT

State Police are investigating a 911 complaint by Grantsville resident Christopher Todd Smith. Smith reported that Grantsville mayor Gary Knight struck him, apparently in the face, in the Dollar General Store on Main Street. Smith indicated the altercation erupted following an alleged dispute. Smith requested an officer shortly after 1 p.m. Easter Sunday. The incident allegedly happened inside the store where there are TV cameras. Cpl. Jeff Hunt responded to the call.
