FUGITIVE ARRESTED IN CALHOUN

A Gilmer County State Policeman has arrested an out-of-state fugitive from justice in Calhoun County, according to Regional Jail records.

Reportedly, officer Jarred Brewer routinely stopped Jeffery David Wendt, 48, on Rt. 5 to discover the man was allegedly wanted elsewhere.

Wendt is being held in Central Regional Jail.
