Wanda M. Ash, 90 - Elizabeth

Wanda M. Ash, 90, of Elizabeth, West Virginia, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday April 6, 2009, at Ohio Valley Health Care in Parkersburg, WV.

She was born April 10, 1918 the daughter of the late Monroe and Anna Holbert Lewis. She was married for 66 years to the late Paul L. Ash.

She was a member of the Big Island Run Methodist Church of Elizabeth, where she was a Sunday School teacher for several years and a very active member. She was a member of the West Virginia Gospel Singers of Mt. Nebo and a member of the Pythian Sisters of Smithville, WV. She was a homemaker, devoted mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Paula Cline and her husband Russ of Elizabeth; 4 grandchildren, Lisa Cline Kukura and husband Jeffery of Morgantown, WV; Robert A. Cline and wife Tracy of Dayton, Ohio; Matthew Ash and wife Denise of Huntington, WV; and Nathan Ash of Parkersburg; 6 great grandchildren, Carrie, Madison Bryce and Peyton Kukura of Morgantown; Andy and Logan Koch of Dayton.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by 1 son, Michael L. Ash, 2 brothers, Clay and Carl Lewis and 1 sister, Zelda Nutter.

Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday April 8 at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth, with Rev. Tim Bell, Rev. Delmas Stutler and Rev. Lee Williams officiating. Interment will be in the at Lewis Roberts Cemetery of Wirt County.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday April 7 at the funeral home.
