CHS TRACK TEAM RESOLVES FOOTBALL FIELD PROBLEM

(04/06/2009)
Problems with runners using the local football field have been resolved.

Calhoun High's track team will no longer be practicing on the high school football field.

"We will respect those who asked the team to run elsewhere," said track coach Melinda Fitzwater.

The runners will be running on the parking lot and entrance road at the CM-HS school, "So please watch out for the team while they are running," she said.

The field events will still be practiced on the football practice field.

"We thank Roane County High School and Glenville State College for letting the team practice on their track and use their equipment," said Fitzwater.

Fitzwater said St. Mary's High School has donated a used set of hurdles.

"We thank everyone in the community who has supported our team."

"Calhoun has a great group of athletes. If you are interested in watching the team compete we will be at Roane County High School on Tuesday, April 7 and Glenville State College Saturday, April 11," Fitzwater said.
