BURNSVILLE METH MAKER USED FALSE IDENTITY

(04/02/2009)
A cleaning woman smelled ether last week at Burnsville's Motel 79.

After alerting the motel owner, her discovery led to the arrest of two individuals who were making meth in one of the rooms.

Chief James Ball and Lieutenant John Stump of the Burnsville Police Department obtained a search warrant, charging Jeremy William Childers of South Charleston and Amanda Lee Simms with operating a clandestine drug lab.

Childers gave false identification to police, identifying himself as his twin brother Benjamin Ray Childers.

"They apparently had cooked Tuesday and then took it to South Charleston to sell it. They had everything set to start cooking again," Lieutenant Stump said.
